1970 GEDİZ EARTQUAKE and AKÇAALAN VILLAGE

EARTHQUAKE IN 1970 and AKÇAALAN TOWN

             28 th my 1970 is one of the unluckiest days for Gediz, Emet and  80 villages. 23:05 was like a nightmare for people as almosr 1000 people died because of overturned stoves, collapsed houses or subsidences. And the severitiy of the earthquake to Germany Earthquake Research Centres.

           As a result of these earthquake around Gediz and Emet many people became homeles, and many chşldren lost their parents.

           As the earthquake happened in winter many people died because of the overturned stoves and their number was more than the number of people died in subsidences.

           After evry disaster children are the most  affected ones.

And after this  earthquake aorund 200 childen were placed to the society of the Protection of the Children in Kütahya and Kayaköy Village.
